It's so 2012

We got 1 day extra vacation today, Yey!

I made breakfast for hubby and me, did an inventory of my 100 pesos items for sale, had lunch with friends and now I'm home and decided to "revive" my blog.

I downloaded an app that helps me track the tasks associated with the goals I've set. I started with the easy stuff like drinking 8 glasses of water a day, reading and doing 1 minute of kettle ball exercise. So far, so good.

I need to get back in shape... even my "fat" pants are tight =(

I am looking forward to what 2012 brings and I hope to exercise more discipline in reaching my goals especially the health related ones.

Let's take it 1 day at a time. Here's to countless blessings for this year. May we receive what we need.

2 years of marital bliss

I didn't realize it until I saw it on the calendar...We've been married now for 2 years and it's still all fun and laughter. While married life is far from perfect, I feel so blessed that we are together especially in working out the challenges thrown our way.

Aside from our anniversary dinner, we went on a short anniversary holiday to Hong Kong... Yes, after the hostage drama! We didn't encounter any angry locals and the only frustration I felt was not being able to buy any of the gadgets I wanted.

We shopped, ate, practiced yoga, shopped, ate, watched my friend perform at Disney's Lion King, shopped, ate...get the drift?

Looking forward to our next marital adventure.

another year of adventures

Celebrated by birthday last Sunday... had a party Saturday... chillax Sunday... back to the daily grind Monday afternoon....

I have to say, it was exactly how I wanted my day to be... "quiet" dinner with family and friends with great food and loads of fun and laughter. It was a choice between fishballs and quesadillas... and even though the quesadillas won, I will still have my fill of fishballs this coming Saturday hehehe

If you act with conviction, you can fool the referees. Just the way goalkeeper Neuer fooled the referee, unfortunately for Lampard and England. 

Who knows, it could have been a different story all together if England was awarded with that goal.

Be careful how you “write your future”… If you want to do good in the World Cup, stay away from doing an ad with Nike. Seems like celebrity football players involved in Nike’s "Write the Future" ad had a pretty bleak future. 

• Ronaldinho didn’t make the national team
• Ribery and France went home early together with Cannavaro and Italy
• Drogba and his broken arm didn’t make the round of 16 (but then again, they were in the group of death)
• Donovan and Howard got beaten by Ghana
• Rooney was outperformed by Germany

Awaiting their future are Spain’s David Villa and Portugal’s Christiano Ronaldo who will be facing each other off tonight for a spot in the quarter Finals.

Traffic on Ortigas fly over on the way to work today... this was at 7:25 am... The right side of the road leads to Makati which is unusually clear at this time.
