2010 World Cup Notes: writing your future

Be careful how you “write your future”… If you want to do good in the World Cup, stay away from doing an ad with Nike. Seems like celebrity football players involved in Nike’s "Write the Future" ad had a pretty bleak future. 

• Ronaldinho didn’t make the national team
• Ribery and France went home early together with Cannavaro and Italy
• Drogba and his broken arm didn’t make the round of 16 (but then again, they were in the group of death)
• Donovan and Howard got beaten by Ghana
• Rooney was outperformed by Germany

Awaiting their future are Spain’s David Villa and Portugal’s Christiano Ronaldo who will be facing each other off tonight for a spot in the quarter Finals.
